You realize I just sold a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 for $110, right?
Well shit.

I'm out of good scopes at the moment... unless you want a Barska 3-9x40 that didn't seem to hold zero on a .30-06 bolt gun. Seemed to work fine on a 10/22. You can have that one for the cost of shipping. Buyer beware.
I appreciate the offer. I think I'm going to get the nikon or vortex. Still not sure.
I like the nikons myself. In your price range I’d say it’s your best bet.The p308 seems decent for what I'll be doing.
Not truly %100 made in the USA. At the very least the aluminum and glass are imported. You won't see any scopes say "made in the USA" in 2018 with the new rules that were just passed.I like the idea of something that I buy being made in the good ol' USA. It's not the key determiner or anything, just makes me feel a little better about my purchase.
Leupold bought the Redfield name a few years back. They are the "economy" line but are still made in Oregon and have a lifetime warranty.
With all that and your price point in mind you may want to consider...

Good luck in your search!

If I were looking for a $300 scope I'd be on eBay searching Nikon monarchs.I like the nikons myself. In your price range I’d say it’s your best bet.
You mean your going to miss and scare a bunch of deerI decided to go with the nikon p308. I think being a budget ar10 it fits well. I cant wait to shoot it. I'm going to kill a deer with it this year.

Good choice for a budget build.I decided to go with the nikon p308. I think being a budget ar10 it fits well. I cant wait to shoot it. I'm going to kill a deer with it this year.
I used to have a Redfield Revenge 4-12 ranging scope. It was pretty good considering the price I paid. Never tested the accuracy of the ranging feature but at 100 yards it did well with my .308 Savage.Someone else mentioned Redfield. I’ve heard good things, but no personal experience.

Anyone know the difference between the p-308 and the prostaff?
