Does anyone have any experience with the Browning 1911-22's? I looked at the threaded version at AO, and it's a cute little pistol. I think that's the direction I'm going to lean for a suppressor host. It definitely feels less pot metal like than the GSG full size 1911's.

Any first hand experience? I'm mostly interested in experience related to reliability.

I looked at them, but couldn't justify the cost vs. the GSG for $249. If I ever have any issues with the GSG, I'm sure I'll wish I would have dropped the extra coin, but for now I'm ok with the idea that the money I saved buying GSG basically paid for the suppressor, or the stamp.

Yeah, it's a one time thing though. The Browning feels a lot more solid, although there is still a bit of play in the slide. I fiddled with the GSG's...feel like airsoft guns to me.

Do you plan on using it for cheaper training to supplement a centerfire 1911 or just for a good host?

If it's just a range toy I'd look at a ruger mkiii and have known quality and reliability
