I have a Blackhawk bipod I got as a gift on one of my rifles and it does the job fine and hasn't given me any problems. That said I will be getting a Harris for my 10/22 soon.

I like my Harris bipods, but I got rid of the one with the swivel. I only shoot off of benches and not uneven terrain, so the swivel was just a hassle for me. I could never get it tight enough for my liking- I'd say that @cmshoot 's recommendation for the knob upgrade might fix my complaint. Never tried it personally.

Yes it is. Different catalogues and vendors list it differently.

The lever will fix that issue. That's exactly what it's for. You can't get that round, knurled knib torqued down tight enough without pliers.

I've got the 6-9 Caldwell I've used a half dozen times I'm gonna put on the 6.5G. Maybe I'd use it more if there was a long range in the backyard.

Get a good one. I had a cheapo on a Remington 700, and when I was downrange changing targets one of the legs retracted and the rifle fell off the bench

And FWIW (which isn't much), I prefer the Harris. The Atlas is cool and lets you put legs in opposing directions which can me nice if you are shooting a PRS match and the course designers are really trying to fuck with you, but Harris is easier and quicker for most circumstances.
