Back in 5.56!

Like a dumbass I traded off all my 5.56 uppers earlier this year for a sport bike. Considering my stores of 5.56 ammo, this was not the smartest thing I had ever done.

Anyway, I have been wanting to do a 12.5" SBR for a while, and had been on the lookout for an upper for over a year. I was about to give in and pull the trigger on a BCM since PSA hadn't gotten them back in stock since Sandy Hook.

Then came along @Cameron Shepherd who hooked me up with this sweet ballistic advantage 12.5" barreled upper for a smoking deal.


Now I just need to fund a BCG and CH. I think it looks great with my Innovative Arms Grunt M peaking out of the rail like that.

I hate that my stock is FDE and that it looks so new, but the cheek weld is phenomenal and I can ignore how ugly it is.

I tRade a Socom 16 for a 2012 cbr250r last month. That thing was dangerous. I sold it without ever putting gas in it. We ride pretty much every weekend. Going tomorrow in fact. You are welcome anytime.

Sweet man! Why dangerous? Was it too small? I know my little 250 gets blown around on the interstate. I try to stay off there as much as possible now.

It didn't scare me like the bigger bikes do and as such I didn't respect it. I found myself messing around on it almost instantly and knew I would wind up hurting myself. They are cool, I just don't have the willpower to stay safe on them. I need the fear of firey death to keep me safe. LOL

Haha! I know what you mean! I have taken my 250 to the Tail of the Dragon twice now. The last time got my attention. I felt my self pushing the bike much more than I should for my abilities. Definitely going to settle down with it, especially with my new Pirelli Sport Demon tires. They grip so much harder than the crap factory Dunlops and make going slow difficult in turns.

I bought a PSA 12" upper back in June so they have been in stock (though they sell out quickly). It was the one with the FN CHF barrel, too.

I lusted after the BCM too, but the price on the PSA was just too good.
