ATF Clarification on SB Tactical (and Sig by default) braces.

In short, you may legally shoulder an SB Tactical brace...no bueno on the Shockwave blade.

No, they haven't changed their minds there was just a lot of confusion about the previous letter.

Guess they'll have to drop all the charges on the people arrested so far lol. This was never the big issue it was made out to be. I would have loved to see them try and argue to a judge that a perfectly legal assemble pistol automatically becomes a rifle when it touches your shoulder

I think it was only one person, and charges were never filed at the Atfs recommendation.

I shouldered a Draco with a brace right in front of an ATF field agent doing the yearly inspection at the Pawn shop I was working at last year.

Me: Hey are you going to arrest me?
ATF: For What?
Me: Shouldering this Sig Brace.
ATF: Huh? Ain't that how your supposed to hold it?
Me: No this is a pistol.

It was sent to SB Tactical, and applies to their product (since they sent the inquiry) and others like theirs...but not the rigid brace's sans arm strap like the shockwave. It's simply a clarification of the previous letter, not a new pronouncement.

Ok.... Now the lastest. Apparently you CAN shoulder your brace ONLY IF it's made by SB Tactical.
