My thoughts exactly. It seems like Ruger has some "non-gun" folks in decision making positions in R&D. They hear all of the 10mm love, but fail to understand why, or it's best application. 10mm in their American would have been really interesting. It would have also probably set a record for recall issues, lol.

They already got the 10mm beat in a revolver anyway- .30 carbine. Now that's a revolver round.
