I love my 22/45 but it is the loudest host you can have for an ARC 22Me either, I have a 22 mag Henry rifle but I want to get a ruger 22/45 lite as a host then a 10/22 threaded

This is the quietest host with an ARC22. Stupid quietI had a savage fv-sr at one point and will get another at some point

How can you compare a rifle with a pistol? This is the quietest host with an ARC22. Stupid quiet
How can you compare a rifle with a pistol?
As far as pistols go 22/45 is the worst host. Even Dobbs will tell you. As far as anything FVSR is the best. Still need a 10/22 for fun factor. 22/45 is still a lot quieter. Just don't want you to go in with really high expectations of it as a host. Has a first round pop not heard with the other 2 and is louder. Still lots of fun. I recommend it as a host just not your only host. How can you compare a rifle with a pistol?

M&P 22So what's a good pistol host?
I'm thinking about the Browning Black Label 1911-22.So what's a good pistol host?

I've said this before... when I got my first can (Guardian 9), I didn't have any subsonic 9mm ammo. So I went to the range with the regular old 115 grain 9mm I had on hand.
After shooting three rounds thought it, my first thought was "why the hell did I buy this thing?" Ears ringing a little, I was really not happy. The noise was all due to the supersonic crack. .22LR is the same- it's not quiet worth a damn unless it's subsonic. Pistols shoot bulk pack everything below the speed of sound. My 10/22 doesn't- it requires subsonic ammo to be quiet.
So.... it's just my opinion, but if it breaks the sound barrier, you won't be happy. It's probably just barely hearing safe, but it darn sure isn't quiet.
As much as I hate to give them money I was going to hi caliber because they are 5 minutes from me
ok, I think you changed my mind! Where?I understand. Don't want to come up here and try it out and shoot some full auto. Gotcha.

I have been looking at these and like them, probably gonna pick one up for my rifle host. I like the one that is the "Landy edition". the stock is interesting lookingI had a savage fv-sr at one point and will get another at some point
