AR9 build?

I'm trying...well was trying... To work a trade and I offered my AR9 build for $800 to start and the guy comes back with "I can build one for $450"

Is it even possible to build an AR9 upper alone for $450? Much less the full pistol?

As of last month, if you go the PSA route it is. They drastically dropped their prices on all their 9mm AR stuff.

I am going to go with no. Even with the price drop at psa you would still be in it for at least $600-$700.

That was my thought as well. I waited and waited on mine....finding all the deals I could...and even then, I'm still in it right around 700 to 800.

Their pistol build kit is $550 and you'd still need a lower. So even in the best case scenario, you'd be in @ $600 plus shipping.

I know I have been watching (not searching) for ar 9 items and have not found any crazy deals. That's why nine is still just an stripped lower.

I went for months back and forth from PSA, to JoeBob, to JSE, to you name it. I still feel like I overpaid.....I'll be darned if this guy can build one for 1/2 of what it cost me....but then again, it's probably just his way of saying that his stuff is better than my stuff.

No, I don't buy that. The only valid excuse is that you could get a CZ Scorpion for about the same price that you built yours for, but they're too different animals altogether.

I'd love to see the breakdown, including thread pitch, barrel length, and all the other details.

Holy shit. Granted threads will be wonky, but the BCG IS ramped. barrel is still about 5" too long.
