CDI makes a descent torque wrench for the money( we buy probably15 a year at work as they have to get used in a harsh environment). Nothing else held up as well for the money. Craftsmen makes a descent one for pretty cheap too. I personally like the click style myself. You can get either offerings from $85-$120.I don't know. I guess if you have one, why not use it? I personally use one but I also know what 30 - 80 foot pounds feels like. I guess if someone who has only built one or 2 and isn't very mechanically inclined I wouldn't trust them without a torque wrench... but someone who has done a few and is.. I would trust them.
What wrench do you guys use?
You can get a Harbor Freight one for like $20, just know they are not very robust. I still have one and its actually not very off from a nice one (only a few lbs), I just would not rely on it if I used it daily...
