AR barrel stamps

I found an AR barrel, it was fluted forward of the gas block. Only stamp I could find was " G 5.56 NATO 1/7". Any ideas who made it? Ive never come accross a G stamp. It was definitely a G and not a C...

Well damn. Rifle is $650 with a Noveske lower...but I doubt I could sell the barrel for enough to buy a new one.

The only GM logo on my 18" Wylde barrels is a circle with a mountain range in it, like an upside down W.

But I never bought their NATO pattern barrels.

GM made barrels for Colt. They only used a G when they did so.

They're as good as anything else in the midrange.

Usually when I see a fluted AR barrel and the the manufacturer's name is not clearly engraved or stamped on it, it's some Pos mfg.
