AR/AFG question

is there a lower profile rail piece that'll get my AFG closer to my forend? web search came up short. LGS talent didn't know either. thanks.

I have not seen any thinner rail sections, but I'd bet that it would be possible (with a little modification, of course) to screw the grip directly to the handguard. Of course, it couldn't be removed quickly, but a grip usually isn't removed very often.
