I think the problem is that you can build a pretty nice (but basic) AR15 for $500 bucks or less, But a nice AK (i.e. Arsenal) runs around $800+ bucks... If you can find a MAK-90 around $600 bucks that might be a pretty good option as well.

I like AKs too, but ARs just do it for me more. I hate stock AK iron sights.

The AR15 is a far superior weapon platform, however that's not to say the AK is crap. Far from it.


Sometimes I just want to make a bunch of noise and act like Rambo. Nothing fills that role better than an AK

Have both, but prefer the AK. I would compare the AR to a kitty and an AK to a Pitbull, just my opinion.
