There is nothing wrong with a forty. You do your job it will do its job. It's still a pistol round and will always be anemic compared to a rifle or shotgun, just like all other pistol rounds that don't have magnum after their caliber designation. If you want more power just carry a shotgun or rifle around. Haha

Who the fuck is gonna admit to still carrying a .40? I'll never get another one mainly because they're damn near impossible to sell or trade with.

Back in 2011 I got lucky and my G23 sold VERY quickly on the sandy vagina page...like hours. Sold it for $490 with 3 mags; after that I would watch G22's, Sig, and CZ's sit there for months

Glock is the only brand where a 40 model is worth it imho. The availability of cheap aftermarket 9mm conversion barrels for practice and ease of conversion make the Glock 23 a more desirable gun than a Glock 19 imho.

I carry a p229 in 40. I personally can't figure out what people don't like about it....

Really they are just low power hole punches like any other handgun. I like it because range ammo is only 7.50 a box for me, and the round carries more energy than the 9.

I had a few 40s. A P99 in .40, SIG 226R, G23 G4 FDE, and I've shot them all fairly well, especially the Sig. I don't dislike them, but the resale value is terrible on them, and nearly impossible to sell. I don't buy the notion that they're"snappy". I handle anything in my hands just as well as a 9mm. Just differently. Every caliber has its own characteristics and you treat it individually, and not compare everything to a 9mm.
