I started out not liking the plastic pistols. Then decided that I should really own one and give it a fair shake. I bought a police trade in G17 at a gun show for about $400 out the door. And it quickly became one of my favorites.

Now I'm too deep into mags and holsters to get away from Glocks.

I see. Note to self: Don't buy anything HK. I can't afford to sell fifty G17 mags at a loss. Not to mention all the Galco leather.

HK mags are ridiculously expensive. Good ting I have accumulated 8 of them for about $25 each....don't ask.

Honestly, magazine cost is the reason I don't already have anything HK or Walther.

I've had a M&P 9 and a Steyr M9 that I probably didn't keep two months- they didn't do anything my plastic fantastic pistols can't do and the mags were expensive- and I didn't have a way to carry them.

Oh- and add a Sig 2022 to that list.

Try a G19.

I absolutely love that one!

I've had at least two of them and I think there was a third one. I even had a RTF2 with gills. Sold all of them. I liked the grip on the G17 a little better. Just my preference. (And I've been thinking I need to try another G19... I never learn).

Yeah-

Handguns are a very individual choice. The balance of a G19 works much better for me, but I like the G17 as well.....

Meh...I've owned several dozen and always trade them off. The only reason I have held onto my G19 for so long is sentimental value. But even that is wearing off, which is why I have it listed now. If it sells, great, if not oh well. I haven't shot it in a few years and the last time I did I hated the damn thing. I'll stick to my 1911's and my wheel guns.

The most reliable guns I've ever owned, I've had several of the 17, 19, 20, & 21 in different gens. Might get another Gen 4 20, but overall, I just can't get past the triggers.... got spoiled on 1911 and the HK match triggers.
