So I dropped the idea of picking up a .40

Wife just shot a 1911 and was hooked.
I can't afford a Wilson, nighthawk, or a springer (would love a ruger lw cmdr)
But 400 is about all I got.

Anyone have one of these 1911s and can share some insight and opinions on the m

If you look you could find a RIA govt plain Jane for about 400...

Otherwise the TISAS seem to have a good rep. I never shot one but I took one apart and it seem to be well made for the price. I planned on buying one to modify...they are good starter 1911s but I would likely try to find a RIA as they are a well known quantity.

Are the TISAS still 350? I thought I saw them for 329 at some point...if they still are I'd be all over that

I had a stock RIA, Never had 1 problem out of it and was dead-nuts accurate. If $400 is your range, RIA or Taurus; lots of folks talk shit about Taurus, but their 1911s are a good bargain
