Bet he pays taxes if he tries to bring the money back to the USHe's an ER tech, firefighter, and two tour veteran. The medical knowledge made him an easier shoe in for the position.
No taxes and he makes $580 a day plus extra for tasks taken outside of his normal assignment. Schedule is either 120 days on and 70 off, or 80 days on and 30 off.
nope. he just cant stay in the US for more than 30 days a yearBet he pays taxes if he tries to bring the money back to the US
Yeah that would suck. At what point is it not worth it?nope. he just cant stay in the US for more than 30 days a year
he loves it, he just travels the world in his off time.Yeah that would suck. At what point is it not worth it?
Is he in a active hostile area or does he have it pretty easy?
SOE?Anyone know what kind of belt that is?
That sounds like a pretty solid gig. I could see how it would be a interesting job. Maybe it is time for a career change, I wonder if the wife would go for this.he loves it, he just travels the world in his off time.
he was in iraq previously and was insanely bored. He's much happier in Africa. The area he is in is dangerous, but not hostile towards Americans Per Se. He says he sees bodies laid out in the street fairly often, its pretty lawless. His biggest pet peeve is the UN workers who are just really corrupt.
That would be vary hard to turn down.Got offered a contractor gig about 8-9 years ago, they needed Snipers. $700/day.
I was seriously tempted.

I was already working for the Feds.......didn't wanna give up my retirement. Plus, my daughter was very young.
Same boat. There are lots of cool jobs in EMS but they arnt conducive for families. Cruise ships are fun for single guys, oil rigs and fields pay really well and so do the over seas contracts. But they would all have me away from my family for too long.Yes... kids are the main reason I'm not working at Daniel Defense right now. Tried to get them to hire our company for design work and solid modeling, but they wanted someone in house.
