Nope. Just ban them and if you get caught with one you go to prison. They don't give a damn if they get them all, they want to pass feel good legislation to use as a feather in their collective political caps. At the end of the day, I think even the anti-rights assholes mostly know it won't work.

I think half of the American people are begging for it with tears in their brains, and the other 97% don't really want to risk federal prison.
I think what we would see is a lot of talk and no action; it's hard enough just to get people to vote
I could easily see a much less obtrusive AWB/mag ban coming in to effect...the scary bit is that the left doesn't think they need to hide their true desire anymore.

What they want and what they get passed are 2 different things; sure, they'll shoot for the moon with all sorts of legislation, bans, etc; what will actually get passed is another story. <Keeping fingers and toes crossed>

Almost half of eligible voters stay home on Election Day. At this rate if you get 30% of voters you'd probably be in good shape. I imagine a lot of voters will stay home or vote third party this year so they can feel good about themselves. It might not take as many votes as you think to win but we will see

let say they went a different route then "surrender" and did a mandatory buy back but offer something crazy like 5 k per.... would you do it?
