ok i was not going to post this but changed my mind . i think it is some what funny now ... i just trade into a rem 700 and was in the safe looking at some things i have in there . there as a bag of what i thought were dummy 7.62x51 rounds that someone gave me in a trade .so i loaded them into the 700 to practice with the gun .i pulled the trigger (it was pointed in a safe direction ) and ........ boom .... holy shit they are not dummy rounds !!!!! they are fucking blanks .... the wife about killed me ...lol now i know what blanks look like lol

Weird, all blanks I have seen were brass cased and crimped ends
