All this to say what buffer/spring should I start with? I do plan to run it suppressed.

I shot mine today. Everything was swell, except the PSA 32 round mags can be a little finicky when it comes to loading. I've never had an issue loading a mag before, but these don't seem to stack rounds very consistently in the body, and loading it is kind of a pita.

I've looked into those. A buddy of mine told me they only take PSA uppers. Is that true?
