I have this Jig and it does Great work with a router,
it works with any lower I have used it on and does good work.
I have all of the tools needed and a small drill press too.
I would be Game for this if I can get the day off work.

That looks like the cat's pajamas.

I'd provide the beer.

I have used several types of jigs and this one so far has been the best.
I also have a Milling machine and it does perfect work, but I wanted to try another method and this one works well.

Sounds like you have the know how and the tools. If you're game, and we could organize it, sounds like a great time.

This is a picture of one of the lowers I did with the jig above.
I only drilled out the Trigger hole on this one and then used that to make the rest of my cuts.
It turned out ok and works flawless but I should have drilled it first to get the bigger part of the material out of the pocket first.
if you drill it first you have less chatter marks and it looks better.

Just need a good jig with good instruction and you are set.
I watched YouTube and learned how to do most of what I know plus I experimented with a few things too.
@dial1911 started just like me and I have several lowers like he started with and still using them.
I started with jigs that you had to Ream the Stock tree out and then thread for the stock tube (now those were a nightmare).
But all so far you have had to Mill the pocket out.

I am about to start a new job on August 15th and will know my schedule then.
If we can plan this for at least 3 to 4 weeks away I can and will be there.
I will help and point folks in the right direction and just in general watch you guys take a non working piece of metal and turn it into a Firearm.
I can not do any of the work for you (ATF rules) but I can point and tell you what to do.
If anybody else has a small Drill press that will help make things go faster.
We can set up 3 drills with the Drills needed for the finishing process and make things fly.
Just my 2 cents worth on this.

Great plan and great point about ATF law.
