.22lr scope zero distance

i would use the hornady ballistics calculator (free online website) and enter all the relevant data (sight above bore, muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient, bullet weight, etc.). i do this with all my centerfire calibers but have never put my specs in for 22. i just zeroed at 25 yards like @rax_wall and went with it. i don't hunt squirrels or rather haven't had the chance to do so yet.
Ok I'd use the battle sight zero at 25yds and run a couple different ammos at 50 75 and 100 to figure a dope card for each ammo or the one your rifle likes the best.
Most 22s are roughly the same POI at 25 vs 50. I'm .1 mil high at 50 with a 25 yd zero shooting CCI SV. I would zero where you think most of your shots will be taken.
Also, download strelok, they have a free version and the pro version is just 10 bucks. Saves all your rifle, scope and cartridge data for an easy dial. I have a good number of set-ups saved on it and use it all the time. Has been very accurate for me if I put good info in.
