I need to get one, still using my octane 45 with 9mm endcap :(

Does it work okay?
Yeah it works okay with subs, not as quiet as a true .22 can, but I knew that going in. One of the trade-offs when being a cheap bastard and going for multi-function ;)

@ArtVandelay let me try a Dobbs' .22 can (can't recall what the model was for the life of me) on a .22 bolt, it was noticeably quieter than my ghetto-rig. But if you're on a budget like I am and hate paying for stamps, running .22 through a .45 can with a 9mm endcap is a decent compromise (at least to me it is).

There are some vids on the webz showing the Octane with .22, I'll add them later when I get a chance

I got the Dobbs can and it works great. Have not found any negatives to it yet.

I have the Spectre II and love it. Great on pistols bolts or semiautos. I've shot the ARC22 side by side with the Spectre and really can't tell the difference between the 2.

Dobbs Evercore (ARC 22) and a HTA Kestrel 22.

I like them both. I liked the HTA more before I upgraded it to the Kestrel core (although it is now much easier to clean.) It started life as an aluminum guardian and it was quieter before the upgrade.

I really want to try the new IA rimfire can but I can't justify a third rimfire can.

If I had known about about the ARC when I got my Spectre I would have saved myself a couple hundred bucks. I did not make the same mistake with my .30 can.

**Edit** Mistake was not the correct word. I got an awesome can. Just could've been more economical with similar results.

is it harder to clean or do you only copper jacketed bullets?

It gets dirtier faster, the subs I use aren't jacketed. Not a big deal to tumble the baffles with ss media

I've got the silencerco sparrow. It's very similar to the IA slingshot, except it has the stainless clamshell that keeps the tube really clean. I love it. Like the slingshot it's a little shorter than most 22 cans.

It seems like everyone loves the Sparrow.
Patiently waiting so I can do a review on the Apex-S. I expect it to be super badass.

I was going to go the Apex route until I found out about the Sligshot, supposedly the same Db reduction on a shorter platform. found a place that should be getting them in next month

the cores look identical except for length, kind of weird that its technically a whole different can and seems to just lack volume of the apexS but somehow not lose any db's?

I contacted them to ask how it haas the same reduction. here is their reply

Thanks for contacting us. There are differences in how they assemble, and also a subtle difference in the core design of the SlingShot to give it the same internal volume as the APEX. Here are two video links to hear them.
