OK, saw one of these today, held it, and liked it a bunch! $600 OTD! just don't know that much about the Para line. Any opinions or advice? Para Expert Commander

The negative I have heard on Para is the smaller "warthogs" are a bit of a pain to get to run. The full size are better. Of course that is true for most any 1911 manufacturer. I will say that I have spoken with a Para customer service rep and he was pretty awesome. Seemed super serious about solving problems. I looked pretty hard at the warthogs and eventually decided against because I am wanting and waiting for a Ruger SR45c.

Yup, I'm a huge 1911 style fan! Even if it just looks 1911-like (hammer, SAO, thumb safety, slide release and mag release all on grip). I just simply love the type. They point well, shoot well and plain look good!

Craig, if any store within 50 miles of me had a SR1911 Commander I would own it tomorrow! Unfortunately it's not to be had in this area and no ideas of when it will be.:(

Muk......You can buy all the SR1911's you want on gun Broker....New or used.... ;)
Never have bought a gun online, what all is involved?
Just something about holding a gun before you buy it.
Oh yeah, nice Para Trig!

After winning the bid on Gun Broker you just mail the seller the funds and they send the gun to your FFL dealer.....

But....Just like you said you are looking at a photo of the gun not holding it in your hand....

Some sellers have a 3 day no shoot inspection but you have to set it up that way...

You can go to gunbroker.com and read the rules.....Its easy

Muk, I took a chance on a Phillipine made Metro Arms American Classic II "Commander" model & love it. It's easily my favorite gun to shoot. Shoots POA & the weight tames the recoil very nicely. I've even got the White Hat IWB "Double Clip" holster for it, rides very comfy for it's size. Para now has a plant in NC I believe, originally a Canadian company. They make good products. I've had to tinker with magazine & guiderod springs to enhance JHP functionality, but it has been well worth it in the end. Good luck on your decision! Yogi 8)

Out the door at my LGS for $430.00 plus fees. This was my gift to myself in November after the election results bummed me out. This made me happy! Yogi 8)

New outfit for my 1911! I found these on grips4guns.com. Checkered rosewood, finger grooves, and a couple of fluer-de-lis (Saints!), it's a Louisiana thing!
