My first pistol was a Norinco 1911A1 and I kept that gun for many years. I had a blast shooting it and had a few mods that I did myself. In the end, I sold it as it was just a little too large and heavy to carry concealed. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't sold it. I sold it to a friend of mine who basically destroyed it by having too much work done to it. I am also in line to inherit a couple of 45's that my uncle brought back from the Bay of Pigs conflict. These are venerable old pistols and glad there is a big group of folks who are into them and will keep them alive for years to come.
