.17 caliber pistols

Red Dawn and I were shooting at our undisclosed location yesterdayou and the owner asked if we knew of a revolver in .17 caliber and to be honest, I was about 90% sure there wasn't one. Red Dawn pm'd me one such offering and I found another. Theven owner specifically wanted a revolver because he did not want to worry about jams.

There are different varieties of each model but I was rather surprised at the offering. What are your thought?

I wondered as well. Of course, why 5.7 x 28? I guess there is an allure to having a rifle round in a pistol form. Apparently for the guy asking me, .22 mag had a use and the .17 HMR had a use in his mind. He is an older guy and has a dozen .22 mag pistols from revolverS to PMR30. I did not really go into details.

Seems like .22 mag would be better suited for a shorter barrel. I would look up some ballistics info, but I don't care enough.

Why yes! The Taurus and Ruger models are offered in .17 HM2 as well. Too bad nothing in .17 WSM!

The Excel Arms is junk in .17 HMR. I have one in .22 mag and it runs great.

Apparently, neither did the Xcelerator in .17 HMR!
