Maybe one day I will have one of these fine machines. I do like them, but m too much of a peasant to afford one.
@ArtVandelay I am jealous.
Art you have some nice 1911s.
Coffee keeps me saneDon't be jealous of me. At least you have your sanity.
Have you seen how I look? I wouldn't be jealous...more like pitying.
Ed browns are awesome. I have kind of stepped away from the 1911 platform though a little bit. Really wanting a HK mk 23 again at the moment. I love 1911s but they can be finiky at times. I want something I can really trust as a sidearm. There are 1911s that are reliable as can be but I have had a few fail me and that is a few too many. YMMVThanks..though honestly I don't have most of them anymore. I went buying/trading through the hierarchy of 1911 tiers and stopped at Ed Brown...I love it. Were I to buy a working man's 1911 it would be Dan Wesson or Les Baer...likely Baer as I can get them cheaper.

Ed brown is a keeper. I think we all need one good 1911 it is just a man thing. I agree the slim lines of the 1911 fit my hands perfect as well. It is a tough decision trying to balance form and functionality and what we really need.Believe me I understand. I am in the throws a of a 1911 crisis of faith myself. NOTHING feels as good in the hand or is as naturally pointable/accurate to me as a 1911. I would trust my Ed Brown without question but ANY 1911 is susceptible to problems..and I hate that. My HKs are end-of-time reliable, just not as natural feeling as my 1911s. I'm not really sure what to do about it. My Ed Brown is something I could pass down to my grandchildren...my HKs are tools. Very soon I'm likely going to be forced to make a very difficult decision as to what I can keep and I don't know what I'm going to go with.
