    M1 Garand

This weeks "American Guns" show restored one. It turned out really sweet. The guy said his Grandfather use one in WWII and he had one restored with his Grandfathers name DOB and the date he died on it. Great tribute piece.

    My favorite gun store ...

My Father was thinking about getting a little 9mm derringer so we went to our favorite gun store. Well my Father didn't get one but found the store was robbed right before July fourth. My wife wants to pull the trigger on this:

I would pass only because I already have a .380 (Elsie) and if I had that in my budget I would purchase something I could have more fun with or a larger caliber carry weapon for the cooler months. If I was to collect a certain caliber it wouldn't be a .380. I would consider one more Elsie as a...

What are you planning on acquiring in the next 12 months?

My son said he would trade his Mossberg Maverick 88 12g for my Remington Sportsman Model 48 16g. I know I said I would never get rid of another gun but heck he will get it someday anyways plus he would not be allowed to sell it. I did want to "tactical" out my Sportsman and this way I could do...

What are you planning on acquiring in the next 12 months?

Know the feeling, my wife spent the last 3 years in colledge and graduated December 2011, medical office management. Seems the younger ones keep getting the jobs and I need a new roof on my house. May be a while before my next purchase.

    When to CC?

I went with the advice to always carry. I have a friend that don't if he know's there may be a no carry place in is day. I keep telling him for around $25.00 you can get a decent car vault. I purchased a Bulldog car vault $23.95, now I never think twice if I should take my CC with me. It goes.

    Hi-Point... REALLY?

Thats the way my Hi-Point C9 has been going and it's still fun shooting. Plus in a SD situation if you run out of ammo you can throw it at the BG and be almost as deadly.
