Moon clips are just another way of a quick reload.... I really don't plan on using them.....They came with the gun.... Some folks like to carry extra rounds but I don't....Just more stuff to carry... How many shots does one need to go raccoon hunting.... :P :P :P

I have been wanting one since they hit the streets.... So I pulled the TRIGGER today....Heh Heh and brought this one home.... You can shoot it with or without the moon clips...... The cylinder has been machined to accept the moon clips..... A regular speed loader will work also..... :D

Slowhand.....1980 was the year S&W changed over from pinned barrels to non-pinned barrels on the model 10..... I have a 10-8 in 4 inch that is pinned....It was one of the last ones made that way when they changed over that year in 1980.... My son has a 10-8 in 4 inch that is non-pinned...both...

when it gets that cold some red wine and a log on the fire works for me...:-) But I will always remember Riches advice...:-)
