I used to make 22 silencers as a kid out of 1" pvc, chicken wire, a Brillo pad, and a rubber cap. I wish I could make another to run a comparison, but I remember it working pretty good.

@DarthVader I got the auto powder dispenser figured out today. There is a way to start trickling earlier in the pour. The factory default is .2grs, I bumped it to 1.2grs. It only over charged a few times, but that's a problem with the type of powder I'm using. It went much faster today...

I would think as long as you fired some centerfire rounds through it after it would blow the lead out.

You can shoot .22 through a 5.56 can, but it will be really heavy and bulky compared to the host. If you just wanted one, I'd go with a 22, and if you're willing to get a second get one for whatever centerfire cartridge you shoot the most

The sights on the sr22 just clear a suppressor. Not the best host, I get a few ftfs.
