    Well then, keep the keymod sthilly! Oh, and I like the '74 style brakes but also like the Meridian Defense Corp BD2-AKD brake. Saw it on AKOU and really like the compact size.

    I have a Taurus 1911. Has the alloy frame. It's full size and weighs as much as the all steel 3.5" RIA. It's probably one of the best values out there. They come standard with front strap checkering and the trigger is pretty decent.

    Plain Jane? I'mma vote for Rock Island. I have a 3-1/2" model and it works great. Nothing fancy other than a beavertail safety. Makes for a slim carry package in .45acp goodness.

    When you ask for the new cc request it be sent overnight. They will do this for free but don't offer it up when you are talking to them.
