    New Turkish Military Rifle

Eh....that hand stop slider thingie bugs me. Plus...it's just a piston driven AR-10. Not very exciting to me.

    New Turkish Military Rifle

It is interesting to me that the more "active" militaries in the world remain with the 5.56 and the more "sedentary" militaries keep the 7.62.

    New Turkish Military Rifle

Dropping the HundK G3 for......wait for it....another 7.62x51 rifle. Looks a lot like the Beretta ARX100.

If you don't know, move along

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the...

Squatter shot, killed by relative of homeowner in DeKalb

If you are defending yourself, yes. If you are defending the property, no.

Squatter shot, killed by relative of homeowner in DeKalb

Unless you are defending the home itself (arson, destruction, or what have you), the name on the deed is irrelevant when it comes to self defense. The name of the law is somewhat misleading as some people think it has only to do with "home defense" when in fact it has to do with "self defense"...

I'd bring up Scripture and how all this is set out but .... yeah.

It's an artfully crafted facade, years in the making.

    Artificial intelligence

I think those are all valid points. I had a friend who lived on a farm and he always rationalized it based on the purpose of the animal. The dogs were coworkers and the cattle were the product. It worked for him.

Yeah...the last movie I saw in a theatre was...honestly, I can't even remember. I'm somewhat of a home-body to begin with...then you get married, have two kids....well, you get the idea. I'm particularly boring and uninteresting. It's true.

    Artificial intelligence

I see your point, but I would argue that most mainstay consumption grade animals are not self-aware nor are they on the developing world's harvest list. Granted monkey and chimpanzee are consumed in certain parts of the world but not at, say, the quantity that cattle, goat, and sheep are...

Also, don't overlook the subtle power of anthropomorphism when it comes to technology. A toaster that looked like you is going to affect you differently than a toaster that looks like, well, a toaster. As to "emotions," ultimately they are just chemical signals.... 0's and 1's if you will...

Wow...and fairly recent, too. I'm not really "current" when it comes to movies.

    Well this is interesting.

You're probably right in not giving them credit...unfortunately most people are cattle when it comes to the harder, more intellectual parts of a faith paradigm. If you operate out of dichotomous view of man, as you say you do, than this type of conversation can be more difficult as the "soul"...

    Artificial intelligence

I think it all boils down to this idea of being "self-aware." Does the thing have an "identity" unique unto itself? I'm sure it will be brought up here but if you haven't seen the movies Short Circuit 1 & 2, A) get out of my country and B) I think they do a really good job of having this...
