I 2nd the Savage rifle idea, I'd go with a .308, new stock, and a Vortex optic. That should keep you in your budget and be a great long range gun.

Don't send any mag with it, you won't get it back.

If you have shot hundreds of rounds out of that gun, and just now having a problem, I'm thinking a broken shell as well, but if you don't see anything down the pipe, then I'm kind of stumped. Unless is a barrel/trunion block issue that just finally came to rear it's ugly head.

I have a G30 that mostly sits in my glove box, I might actually carry a gun more often than not, if I get a G43. I'd be perfectly happy to carry a M4 all day but that makes you look like a jack ass.

I really like the way the G43 feels in my hand with the pinky extension. I'm sure I'll end up with a blue label G43 in the near future.

I haven't played with the triggers, or internals at all, but I do like my G21 over the G17. I guess if one went down I could use the other, just bring some more ammo for the G17.

Question, do you need more than 1 pistol? If I was lucky enough to win, I really only have a G21 and a G17. Should I be looking for a 2nd G21 fo a back up gun. (I want a 2nd one anyway) or maybe a 2nd G17... IDK. What's your thoughts on this.

I had no idea the GI mags, weighs less, than the Magpul mags. I personally like the GI mags over the Magpul mags. Interesting post... In for more info. / comments.

I will say this, I've shot some M14 EBR's that will hold head shots all day long at 800 meters, thats about 750 yards for folks who ain't good with the metric system.

I got nothing, I only have tactical shotguns. My guess would be that a Remington or a Mossburg would be your budget, entry level shotguns.

$400 bucks is a pretty good deal for the EAA pistol IMHO.
