That leaf would be a good fall/winter pattern, and if you reversed the colors, it would make a good spring/summer pattern.

Whats MIM? I'm not a 1911 guy... I have a base model 1911, that shoots very, very well, and thats about all I know about them... That and I really want the Doublestar 1911, you know, to match my DS rifles. :)

I have a Springfield 1911 A1 GI model, that shoots great, and was only $519.00 out the door when I bought it in 2006 ( I still have the receipt in the box.) I gotta' admit I want one of these in the near future...

No dude, I get it... I hate the M-110 SASS, everyone say's it is the shit, but all 16 weapon systems that I shot, would not hold a 800 meter target, the M-14 EBR would hold head shots at 800m... And it wasn't just me it was every single SDM on the range. ( about 8 of us. ) If I had the cash...

If it's what you want then go for it... But don't be suprised at the shot groups. Esp. with surplus ammo... I'd have a hard time trading a M1A, for anything other then a very, very nice rifle, I very much wanted... My M1A was a graduation present from my mother and father.

The SVT-40's seem to be over gassed, or under gassed... If you want to shoot up your 7.62x54r ammo... LMK, I'll let you barrow my PSL. Just clean it before you give it back to me... :)
