Recording King open back with scooped fretboard, 17th down.
Intermediate to pro play, not a beginner banjo.
Hard case, strap and extra Huber true tone strings included.

#RK-OT25-BR
Open back with fiberskyn head for an amazing woody tone
Planetary machine tuners
Machine tuner on 5th string
Dual coordinator rods.
Steam-bent maple rim.
24 bracket tension hoop.
Maple neck with adjustable truss rod
Padauk wood fretboard
Madison compound angle peghead with rosewood
1¼" Bone Nut
Maple with Ebony Bridge
Presto tailpiece
USA made including hardware

From RK website:
We've built this banjo specifically for old-time players, with features like our scooped fretboard, Presto tailpiece and Remo FiberSkyn head, as well as precise tension control thanks to the 24-bracket tension hoop.

Perfect for clawhammer and old-time players, with a scooped fretboard and a steam-bent maple rim for that woody, traditional open-back tone.

Note: The head is not dirty, that's just the fiberskyn look.

Well taken care of, always stored in case, no damage.

★$450 cash or trade.

Makarov pistol, mags, ammo
Tokarev pistol, mags, ammo
SKS, numbers matching and correct.
AK-74 mags, surplus only
7n6 ammo
Silver bullion or coins
CZ 9mm or 45 ACP pistol
Threaded 22 pistols, no bench style
Older than dirt 22 rifles
AK parts kit

Original owner and I have over $750 in it with the case so 450 seems fair for a very clean well taken care of banjo.

Wow. Niiiice. I’ve been looking for a 6-string banjo so I can automatically play it. This is super sweet.

Nice! Wish I knew how to play.
Anyone can with a little practice.
Hell, I'm tone deaf and lots of hearing loss.

I play an old time style (round peak) and it's not as hard as one might think.

I learned the basics from my paw paw on a homemade cat skin banjo then went to a weekend camp in Round Peak Surry, NC to get some advanced knowledge.
The rest was self taught watching videos from the guy that ran the camp and a few other greats.

Now the 3 finger pick style (Scruggs style) is kinda tough and I never got the hang of that plus it's more of a bluegrass style and usually played on a resonator style banjo, not an open back.

If you want to try your hand at it, I have several banjos and one is pretty much a dedicated loaner.
Let me know

Damn boss man, you scared to learn new cords on the 5 string?
Guitarist with a 6 string banjo is like cheating :boink:

My kid is a guitarist and she just plays my bajos like a guitar
Heavy Metal on banjo:becky:

I’m an old dog, not sure I’m up for learning new tricks. LOL
I tried to loan you my washburn a while back, YOU OLD DOG!
But you are in a communist HOA so banjo music may not even be allowed.
I play on the porch and the neighbors stay the hell away from here.

Very nice of you. Years ago I bought a guitar and took a few lesson. I could memorize some cords but never got proficient to move to the different cords quick enough to make music. So the guitar sits in the corner mocking me.

Fluid movement changing cords was the toughest part for me and why I liked the round peak style on banjo best.
More frailing and picking with both hands for fast strings of single notes vs cords and strumming.
All the other styles are very unorthodoxed on the banjo to me.
Grew up around guitars and have a livingroom full of them for my kid but I suck on guitar.
