So I’ve been doing some homework and have found out as much info as I can on particular ammo that seems to be popular at the match. I would like to hear some opinions offered on the ammo listed or something that works better to help out the competition shooters.

I can't say exactly... i bought several bricks of Wolf years ago that shoot very well through a 1950s era Mossberg bolt .22.

The outside case (box) on those rounds were marked Eley i think.
Yeah the brass stanmp is either an E for Eley made in UK or X for Lapua made in Germany

Lot testing is almost as important as ammo choice

I’m now starting to write down temp wind fps and lot # when I shoot keeping a record of each outing. I’ll order some SK yellow and red and some Lapua CenterX to do the same. I don’t think the Eley Tenex will stay subsonic in my 16.5” but I’ll try some Match BLK or Team to see how it does too.

I have stacked several varieties of CCI to, at some point, test accuracy of the different options available.

Yeah everything I have is ok inside of 200 but some of these matches we attend have 400 yd targets and groups really open up out that far.

I’m keeping better records of lots # and real time velo temp and location so I can create a better baseline for like the Eley Club which we shoot a lot of and others when I can get them delivered.

This may take some time to build but I like the challenge and it’s fun.
