Range trip with the Ruger SR22p

Sorry, no pictures. I don't have a smart phone and have more paper targets than I can keep up with, so unless it's unbelievable shooting, I just don't keep them anymore.

Range trip with the Ruger SR22p

Had a great range trip today with my Ruger SR22p today! Now that I'm finding some .22lr ammo again I'm reminded of how great the SR22p is. I only wish I shot all of my pistols as well as I shoot this one! Maybe this should be my carry pistol lol.

Range outing with the Ruger SR9 and Beretta 92FS

I'd love to Trigger, but I'm a low tech guy in a high tech world.

Range outing with the Ruger SR9 and Beretta 92FS

Went shooting for the first time in awhile yesterday. I took out my Ruger SR9, which hadn't been out since I bought the Beretta 92FS. I shot both and to my surprise I was nearly as accurate with the Ruger as the Beretta. Funny thing is, I nearly traded the Ruger a year after I bought it...

    S&W 442-1 Airweight Moon Clip 38+P

I'm not a revolver guy, yet. Why the moon clips option? What advantage do they offer? I understand they are necessary on 9mm model revolvers, but why on the 38?

    A new Remington 9 - under $400 nice!

That was good! Mine was white, had the roof rack, rear spoiler, different stripe, and white letter tires. I've got a picture around here somewhere ........

    A new Remington 9 - under $400 nice!

Mine was an automatic. The only thing that failed on the car was the transmission. The transmission was made by Chrysler. American Motors was an accurate title, I also found parts on it made by GM and Ford. I didn't experience the wheel hop problem, probably due to very stiff air shocks I put...

    A new Remington 9 - under $400 nice!

That's too funny! My first new car was a '74 AMC Gremlin with a 5.0 liter V8. Mine had headers, and big wheels and back tires. It was a handful on snowy, icy streets of Indy Winters. I guess we're 2 of a kind. I almost included the Gremlin as an example of my quirky choices.

    A new Remington 9 - under $400 nice!

Interesting, I especially like the idea of the SA trigger. Design wise, I'd have preferred more simple lines, but it's not a deal breaker (I once owned a Beretta U22 Neos ::)).

What is the favorite gun you own - and why?

My favorite has to be my latest addition, just a month ago, my Beretta 92FS. Why? 1) I waited a long time to buy it. I knew I wanted it, but I already had a great 9mm (Ruger SR9), so I had to justify to myself that it made sense to purchase it and find it at the right price. 2) I shoot it...

Known sources for ammunition - Availability Board

I scored another 3 / 50 round boxes of 9mm Federal Champion @ WalMart yesterday, late afternoon. It was all they had left, but they had removed the 3 box limit. The guy working in the department said they had gotten a lot of ammo in, including 22lr. I guess the moral to the story is the...

Known sources for ammunition - Availability Board

Actually, after re-checking my receipt it was $14.77/ box.. Not that it makes much difference. It's all gone now thanks to my new Beretta 92fs, it was fun while it lasted.

Known sources for ammunition - Availability Board

Was in WalMart today, picked up 3 - 50 round boxes of Federal Champion 9mm luger ammo @$14.97 / box. They also had some .45 acp, 38 spl, and 40 S&W in stock, but no 22lr. They had more ammo on their shelves than I've seen in probably a year.

Sorry you've left Louisville, but I hope it's a good move for you. Best of luck and I hope your family can join you soon!

Known sources for ammunition - Availability Board

Hey yz9890, when did you leave the Louisville area for Colorado?

    On a better note!

Agreed! Every time I consider a bigger, heavier carry gun, I fall back on the LCP. It's just too easy!

POLL: When will the ammo shortage end?

I found decent quantities of 9mm om the shlf at the local Cabela's yesterday. They had American Eagle 100 round value packs 115 grain FMJ @ $32.99, limit of 5 packs. I bought 3 packs, even though I thought they were still a little high. Then I saw a 250 round pack of UMC @ Walmart, didn't...

    New Remora Micro holster

Just to clarify my earlier statements. I think it's smart marketing on the part of Remora to introduce the Micro holster with the clip. I know many, including myself, that were hesitant to trust a holster without a clip. It took me well over a year to decide to try it, but I'm so glad I did!
