    Surefire BCG for Suppressed ARs

Interesting. I see a couple of design influences from the LMT enhanced carrier. And some design concepts from the Vltor A5 system. It has a modified cam pin track and carrier rails like the LMT. And the reciprocating weight is similar to the A5 buffer's internal design. But I'm with Righter on...

    Pistol AR-15 - I'd like some thoughts from y'all

I guess they are more common than I thought. I've honestly never seen them available, except for being on the Vltor site and out of stock. But then again, I don't own a pistol AR. So maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Pistol AR-15 - I'd like some thoughts from y'all

While it may sound complicated, it's really not. But I'm not sure if they make a pistol tube. The benefits of the A5 buffer system cannot be understated. It is possibly the second, best improvement you can make for suppressed / unsuppressed reliability. The first / best step you can take is...

    Pistol AR-15 - I'd like some thoughts from y'all

A point that needs clarification. @Leshaire is NOT using a rifle extension or rifle length stock. It is the Vltor A5 receiver extension and buffer system. The A5 RE is essentially an AR10 length receiver extension for use with collapsible stocks. It is approximately 3/4" longer than a standard...

    Pistol AR-15 - I'd like some thoughts from y'all

Finally, I'm not a fan of clamp on gas blocks. They can shift. That's bad. A properly installed low profile block is easier to install and exponentially stronger / more reliable. By properly installed, I mean dimpled barrel + degreased threads + loctite 262. I think I wrote a tutorial about it...

    Pistol AR-15 - I'd like some thoughts from y'all

Gas and carbon residue where the gas tube enters the upper receiver, is normal. Severity will depend on the ammunition and how large the gas port is. A small amount of gas leakage / blowby where the tube enters the gas block is also normal. It usually self seals with carbon after a few hundred...

Ga. Bill Would Require Training Before Issuing Gun License

That's what I figured. Thank you. The Dems throw stuff like this in the hopper every year. And thankfully, it goes no where.

Ga. Bill Would Require Training Before Issuing Gun License

Is this actually progressing through the legislature or will it die in committee like every other liberal gun measure that is proposed every year?

More "jacketed" barrels, now with lifetime warranties

Carbon wrapped? I wonder if that's just a fluke of harmonics?

More "jacketed" barrels, now with lifetime warranties

Did TTI go out of business? The barrels in the video are really interesting, especially the gas block design. I wonder what the jacket does for rigidity? Seems like it wouldn't be as good as an actual bull barrel. But maybe it's a compromise, providing weight savings, normal accuracy for a...

    Lightweight billet AR receiver

Not really my thing. But Ted Danson might like it.

    Lightweight billet AR receiver

Agreed. I fully understand the difference and that's why I'm not a fan of billet. It's also why I'm curious about the weight of that thing. I imagine that it's not significantly lighter than a forged upper.

Downside is, the gasses would normally be blown out of the ejection port (mostly). With this thing, it's going everywhere. After a heavy day of suppressed shooting and the requisite application of lubricant, you'd probably look like an early 1900's blackface actor.
