Vance's in Columbus had 22lr in stock this past weekend $22 for 325 rounds. I am going back tomorrow to see if they still have any in stock.

Check out the Weaver Kaspa. It might not be as short as you want (about 12") and it is made in china, but you can get 2-7 or 3-9 within your budget and you can get 4-12 for about $125. I think eye relief and glass clarity are very good for a budget priced scope...and they hold zero very well.

Last week I was at my local gunsmith and he had 3 boxes of Federal. 22 lr on the counter. I asked him how much and he said one of his regulars asked if he would sell it for him on consignment. The guy wanted $75...which I said was not too far out of line given availability...then he said $75...

I don't have one but thinking the same thing. Fees have been going up here too. I have been researching over the past few weeks what is required and what you have to do to distinguish between being a true ffl vs. an individual 'collector'. I have learned so far that the programs like ffl123...

I know people who still do that but never did it myself. Never seemed like a good idea standing outside knowing that lead was going to be falling somewhere.

Yes Rich...I have kraut and pork chops in the slow cooker overnight and will mash potatoes tomorrow afternoon. Always start the new year that way...just like my grandma showed me years ago.

I was just given a bar that says flexam 50/50 on it...it is a 2-3 lb bar. I was told it is 50% lead and 50% tin. My understanding is that it was used as a solder on old lead pipes. Do you think that can safely mixed in with the wheel weights for casting bullets? Sony Tablet S using Tapatalk 2

I got the lead from one of my dad's friends. He said it was 98% lead and 2% tin although no way to verify that. I didn't lube them yet in case I need to melt them down and add something to harden it. Im thinking about lubing a few and loading to min to see how they do in my SP101. If you...
