What's the dumbest thing you've ever done to a Firearm? Can be anything from putting stupid accessories on it to bubba gunsmithing...

I'll go first. This was when I was first getting into firearms. I bought a pretty badass Bulgarian 5.45 AK and then took the nice KVAR furniture that was on it off and put a cheap ass set of Tapco furniture on it and a a Primary Arms micro red dot with a mount for an AR on the handguard. I thought it was pretty cool back then but looking back on it it's pretty embarrassing.

This is what it looked like when I bought it(pic pulled from the net. Not my actual rifle but it was the same thing)...

And this is what it looked like Tapco'd out...

God that is embarrassing looking back now.

I put a Butler Creek stock on my Chinese SKS back in high school, but it did lengthen the pull. No pics.

I tried to pillar bed a Boyds stock. I've pillar bedded other stocks with no issue, but had many an issue with that Boyds with the mushy laminate. Yup, had to buy another stock fer that one.

After i didn't have any interest in the first two Ak's that I bought and either sold or traded off, I got a third. Shockingly, that one didn't do it for me either, so I traded that one off as well.

Haha, I remember that AK. I think I saw it when I bought that Glock and S&W Bodyguard off of you before you went on your 3rd(?) deployment.

Only accurate rifles are interesting
Yeah, that's just the thing. It's tough to really love a rifle that doesn't put bullets where I want them. I have my own standards for accuracy. They might not be reasonable by some people's standards and might be weak by other people's standards. I know what I want the rifle to do, and if it won't I'll find a different one. I've just had a tough time finding an AK that fits, and will shoot like I want it too.

Same with pistols, but I've sold several handguns that shot great..mainly HK's and CZ's. I shot my Ruger LC9s at 200 yards last week and was blown away by the thing. It's my carry gun, and after seeing what it can do from 200-300 yards I'm even more confident in it.

I've seen a female MP look down the barrel of her M9 and then pull the trigger just inches away from her face on a live fire range.
