I've owned my Glock17 gen3 for a little over a year now, and I love it. I want to upgrade to a gen4, but I'm having a hard time finding a gen 4 g17. I'm debating on getting a g19. What are your thoughts on ergonomics, recoil etc. comparing the two?

They "feel" very very similar, as they are very very similar. Depending on your hand size you may not like the shorter grip of the G19 (although you'd have to have pretty big hands for it to be too small). I personally notice very little difference in recoil despite the size difference. It's all a matter of size if you ask me. If you want something to carry the G19 is better, if carry doesn't concern you then the G17 may be the better option simply due to a slightly larger and possibly more comfortable size.
