This one is a Seiko SKX that I've had since 1997.




I picked up a second well worn SKX recently, and I made a few modifications this weekend. The dial and hands are pirated from a Seiko field watch, and the movement is upgraded to an NH36A with hand winding capability. The olive NATO band adds to the military theme. I have a new bezel insert and chapter ring ordered and should have them in a few weeks.

Anybody interested in a Movado similar to this one(it might be the exact same one, I'm not sure). I got it for Christmas several years back from my grandpa and I have never worn it. I'm pretty sure that it's a 42mm?

Seiko makes some nice stuff, especially their automatics....but, as you might guess from my cars, I'm a eurosnob. The Swiss really know how to make a watch.


The marketing fucks at Facebook obviously guessed wrong on my tax bracket though.....I've been getting ads for the new A Lange & söhne model......that runs $75k

I'm keeping my eyes peeled, I want a fucking deal....hell, a good deal on a black bay isn't a lot more than I spent on the Airman.

Not surprising, but it's hard to see $75k there. I was surprised to see that Rolex has a few over $65k.

Glycine is an underappreciated brand. They are a legit Swiss watch company and build some neat stuff. You can also pretty regularly find them for deals like that.

That one specifically would irritate the hell out of me with a 12 hour primary time and 24hr GMT hand.....

I'll probably be throwing my combat sub up on here if I get the black bay. The combat sub was my daily before I bought the Garmin and just doesn't see a lot of use any more .
