I think the one I tried was on a Surefire 762. Maybe the difference is due to the diameter of the can. The scallops on the Sandman body may help too.It's rather easy on the Sandman.

The others are heat resistant, just not to the same degree as that one. The Griffin HMMS is even more expensive.The only heat resistant one is $92! $58 more and you can get the Dobbs ARC22 silencer here:
