Have you ever tried to use one of those? Pain in the butt to install or remove.

It's rather easy on the Sandman.

I think the one I tried was on a Surefire 762. Maybe the difference is due to the diameter of the can. The scallops on the Sandman body may help too.

The others are heat resistant, just not to the same degree as that one. The Griffin HMMS is even more expensive.

They've actually shown a blowtorch being applied to the inner material of the cheaper covers, with no damage.
