Springfield XD Mod 2s

Anybody have experience with these guns? I handled a Mod 2 Compact 45 and really liked it....then I got online and found out they have the reputation of exploding if you think about them too hard.

I like the grip form, capacity, and relatively slim width.

Any reason not to get one?

Its on my short list for sure. I shot it at GA FL when they had it on the rental counter. I liked it a lot more than the G43
