Trinidad_Reyes_cigar_orig.jpg Let's use this as a thread to show each other what we are smoking so we can give each other ideas on what to try next....kinda like the drankin' thread. Cigars preferred but anything goes....

Tonight I'm enjoying a Trinidad Reyes...I'd classify it as a medium to medium-full. Damn fine cigar but to be honest I am having trouble keeping it lit. This one likes to be puffed on which is sort of a shame since it tastes so...refined.

I paired it woth some Angel's Envy bourbon which I find to be an excellent bourbon for cigar smoking. It is a sweeter bourbon that tastes like candy in comparison to even a mild cigar but still helps to bring some of the undertones of the cigar out.

What's weird is that I was on last night and didn't see this or your other cigar thread.

So here's my take on cigars. I can tell the difference between a 50cent and a $5 cigar. I can't tell much difference between a $5 cigar and a $20 cigar, so keep that in mind. I'm the same way with wines. Up to a certain point I can't tell or don't appreciate paying more.

Cigar shops are great MANLY establishments. They usually have a great selection but being the cheap son of a gun that I am, I order online. And right now my go-to is Cigars International. They're up in Ohio.

I buy their "knock-offs". I enjoy the Macanudo Churchill when I want a milder smoke and the Cohiba when I'm in a spicier mood.

I'll tell ya, another good pairing with a cigar is a good gin martini. The flavors mix well. One cigar is usually good for two martinis. Maybe three. But after three it's easy to fall down so that's not good.

I'm diggin' on the New Amsterdam gin these days. Nice flavor and won't break the bank.

Cigars international is based out of PA. They've got 2 massives stores that act as warehouses as well. Insane amounts of cigars, cute bartenders and full bar.

You guys should check out smokeinn.com
The owner is a really cool guy, he has great prices and does microblends just for his shop with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Interesting @Hayata. ..I would have never thought to pair a cigar with any white liquor but thinking about I bet a good gin would do nicely...I might have to give that a shot...

Have you tried the new Davidoff Escuria? Friggin amazing. Like getting a BJ, but slightly more expensive.

For tonight I have a Por Larranaga Panatellas and I have to say this is an excellent mild cigar. Taste has a mild leather undertone throughout that gets stronger as you get down to the last 2 inches or so. Overall I'd say it was a sweeter smoke.. but sweet like a half ripened banana...maybe a tinge of coconut and soft wood. Very good smoke that is reasonably priced..

Dude, you left yourself wide open on this one but I will refrain from taking the thread in that direction. I think I am actually learning some good stuff here.

Cigarettes?

Don't go near 'em.

Oh, and any cigar goes with beer.

Thats all I need to know... Any cigar gos w/ beer... Got it.

Depends on the beer...a mild cigar will probably go best with most beers...a Cabiguan or Padron

Got ya... I have heard of the Padron cigs before.

It's not a very prestigious cigar but there is one called My Uzi Weighs a Ton that is a great mild smoke...I would try that
