Had a student today that had issues running some of the one-handed drills due to the design of the rear sight on his FN FNS. Love that pistol, but loathe any sort of Novak-style rear sight.
Brought his pistol back to my shop and modified the rear sight; cut off the front end and filed it smooth with a slight undercut to grab even better. Now if he needs to rack the slide off his belt, holster, etc., he'll get a good, solid bite with it
