Does anyone foresee an issue with putting WInchester Super X 44-40 deer loads (200 grain in the neighborhood of 1190fps) through an 1873 Winchester?
I've shot the gun with cowboy loads, but not with standard pressure stuff. I can't imagine it would be any issue, just looking for a second opinion.

Thanks.

Is your gun a modern firearm or is it like an original 1873?

If it is a modern firearm it should be fine, right?

It's an original '73.

Anyone else? I'm not trying to kill myself here.

You're fine.

Shouldn't be an issue since this was on of the first magnum load cartridges developed.
