Made from bakelite--the 1st plastic made from all synthetic components. Old guys like me remember these:

I’ve been through this recently - just got my first AK a few weeks ago.
Bake = Bakelite. This most commonly refers to Bakelite mags, but can also include Furniture. Bakelite is the earliest version of plastic from back in the 30’s and 40’s, consisting of layers of fabric/string/etc in a resin matrix.
Furniture = stocks, grips, handguards.
UF = Underfolder stock
SF = Sidefolder stock
Bake mags are desirable because they are lighter, thinner and slicker than steel and don’t have the sharp edges.
Drawback would be their price, and I imagine they don’t take the punishment a Magpul might. I have a magpul and it’s so-so. The Tapco poly mag I have is huge and ungainly. The steel mags I’ve got are heavy and sturdy, but you can dice a potato with the edges.
Did it beat all of the other Bakes, in the thunderdome?

We call them Bakelite because they resemble Bakelite but really it’s a glass-fiber reinforced plastic called AG4 .

“Fakelite” is reserved for those awesome orange slab side tapco mags, which I’ve got a few of and like a lot they’re kinda hard to find too now days lolso basically, they're fake bakelite
It really freaks people out when you explain to them that bakelite is actually a thermoset formaldehyde resin.
Oh snap just looked cheaper than dirt has em in for 18.50! I might get some of those too.
