Without a doubt, my first choice of those you listed would be the Kahr CM9. My brother has one, what a sweet shooter for around $400. I would even consider a CW9 for around $360, but now you're losing the smaller size advantage. I have neither held or shot any of the others, so I can't say Yes or No, but I'm sure they are all pretty good. Yogi 8)

I would have to agree with many on the CM9. It is an incredible bang for the buck as far as ultra small, ultra reliable, pocket 9's.

+1 on the CM9. I used to carry my SR9c as my edc but several months ago I picked up a cm9 at a local show. In the summer months the cm9 is now my primary (iwb) with elsie riding along in my front pocket or cross draw. CM9 has a very smooth trigger pull and very accurate for such a short barrel.

I've gotten very fond of my LC9. I 've had zero problems...very dependable...WAY easy to cc...shoots great. What's not to love? Ok..the trigger pull. I've never felt that the trigger was grainy or hitchy. No question that longer trigger pull takes a while to adjust to. I do feel that I now have that totally dialed in now. This is a premium carry pistol at a very moderate price.

I haven't found the CM9 to be the most comfortable gun to shoot to be honest. I practice with it periodically just to maintain my skill level for but for heavy range shooting, I rely on my Glock, Baby Eagle, Walther and H&K 9's.

My number two nine, Baretta PX4 Storm Sub Compact. A little thick but great for cold weather carry!

I'm at the LC9 stage and very happy with it. However, I do find myself always looking for an upgrade.

I guess the criteria is the most controllable, consistent, and accurate bang available under 20 oz. Luckily, our range has a very large rental pool and this forum does offer a lot of valued opinion and advice.

S&W Shield - Decent gun, decent trigger, decent everything.
Beretta Nano - In the wise words of AKOU, "The trigger is like dragging dead hooker through railroad track."
Walther PPS - I have no experience with this one but typically Walther's mag releases suck.
Kahr PM9/CM9 - Solid meh. Too heavy. Two thirds shitty trigger.
Keltec - I have never and probably never will touch a Keltec.
Ruger - Ruger what?
Sig - Sig what? Typically decent guns with good triggers.

Brother has 2 shields, one you could not close the slide without using 2 hands. S&W said u have to break it in. We laughed cause the guy was a dick on the phone. So we tore them both apart and the one had wear marks on the slide release. We swapped slides and it worked. The problem then followed the slide to the other gun. Called them back and a different guy said send it back prepaid. He also asked who the guy was that was an ass but he forgot his name.

He then proceeded to tell my brother that one time they made a special gun for all the employees and all had same issue. Who`s on the QC line needs to be fired.
