How do I proceed?

An out of state relative wants to purchase one of my pistols. He lives in South Carolina. I will be visiting him soon. What do I need to do?

hmmm, take it there and sell it I would guess. I moved here from PA. I brought all mine here and bought and sold,but I guess at that time I had GA drivers license.

The law says you need to transfer it through an ffl.

Yeah, I knew I couldn't just sell it and that it had to be transferred. But could I bring it with me to a Gunshop and let them do a 4473 like that?

That has always been my impression, but then again I did sleep in my own bed not at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

I would call a couple of the local SC shops to make sure they would do it and how much they would charge.

Well, looks like all for naught. He decided it was too much headache, (I was thinking the same) and a co-worker has the cash today. That made my life easier. Thanks for the input dudes. Or however @Laufen self identifies.
