Gun Culture Channels on YouTube

I wanted to start a list of good, quality content Youtube channels to share with the other members. I'm always discovering new ones, and often learn something new everyday. Of course there are some goofy ones out there too, so hopefully this will provide you/us a list of channels and a brief description to help you/us figure out which ones you'd like to subscribe.

James Yeager: MFCEO at Tactical Response in Camden, TN. James is the quintessential centerpiece to the gun culture on Youtube. Love him or hate him, you can't deny him. He's a strong voice, very opinionated, arrogant, yet generous, raw, yet genuine, sincere, very articulate, has a great deal of knowledge and training, an expert in his field of tactical training, and at times rather humorous. The videos do not have a lot of editing but are short bursts of information packed into a very quick and watchable video.

Hickok45: Hickok is everybody's grandpa that loves guns. He's soft spoken, very articulate, extremely knowledgable, self deprecating, humorous, and at times a little corny. However Hickok brings with him many years of experience with firearms, as a NRA instructor, gun aficionado, sport shooter, and friend of the gun culture. Hickok provides some of the very best and trust worthy reviews on guns that I have found on the internet. They're not reviews from a tactical operator perspective, but rather reviews from the average-everyday-Joe perspective.

Danger Check: Scott Harrison, is a former instructor at Tactical Response in Camden, TN. Scott work along side James Yeager and learned the value and impact of sharing knowledge over YouTube. S has started a channel that is a little bit of everything related to the gun culture. I enjoy his commentary more than anything, however his gear and gun reviews are very well done. S has a great deal of knowledge in many areas of firearms and is very well educated on the Constitution and the law.

Kentucky Lake Prepper: Chester is currently an LEO in the Kentucky Lake, TN area of western TN. Chester provides reviews, DIY and How-To's, survival skills, prepping advice, gear reviews and commentary on current events are time well spent. Chester is soft spoken and carries a very calm demeanor both in person and on his videos. At times you wonder if Chester just took a valium. The videos are extremely engaging, so much that any lack of energy on Chester's part is countered with extremely valuable, rich content that makes for interesting content to watch.

NutnFancy: How can you have a discussion about gun culture channels on Youtube without mentioning NutnFancy? This guys is something. And by something, I'm not exactly sure what category to place him in. He's at times comes across like an arrogant, know-it-all prick that was spoiled by his daddy's trust fund. Other times he comes across as a genuine guy that knows his stuff. One thing for certain, NutnFancy is well organized, full of abbreviations and acronyms, detailed, well edited and you'll see plenty of video of self promotion and ego stroking of his shooting abilities. If you're looking for very detailed reviews of gear, I'd recommend NutnFancy.

AmmoNation: AmmoNation is a project headed up by James Yeager, Reid Hennrichs and Dave Biggers. It takes a deeper look into the gun culture in documentary fashion. Journaling the stories of Constitutional defense when it comes to our 2nd Amendment Rights, personal interest stories of other people in the industry, and stories of the pioneers that laid the groundwork for the training and tactics that we value today. AmmoNation is not a quick watch. It's typically more lengthy and often has content that may take a while to digest.

Demolition Ranch: this is the opposite of AmmoNation. This is light hearted, fun, FPS Russia-esque style of gun channel. Primarily a channel of weird and bizarre gun related experiments that you often hear about, talk about on the range but either don't have the time, the ability, the resources or the balls to do. I like this channel and through the fun and silliness, you can learn a thing or two.

Mr. Gunsngear - I really like his channel. great reviews on guns and , ummmm gear!

Military Arms Channel: Mac is the humblest tactical operator on the interwebs. With his detailed reviews and a matter a fact approach, Mac is all work and no play when it comes to discussing the in's and out's of a firearm. One thing is for certain, you will never be without a review as long as Mac is on the air. He seems to have a never ending supply of firearms at his disposal.

IraqVeteran8888: Moss Gun & Pawn is a small gun shop on the south outskirts of Atlanta, GA. Although they recently lost their patriarch of the show Earnest "Barry" Elliot this past year, Eric (IraqVeteran8888) continues to produce quality shows with his partner Chad to review guns, talk about current events, offer experimental displays of firepower and you can't ignore the Top 5 Guns and the Gun Gripes series that they do. Good quality material, little if no editing and good people all around.

RatedRR: This is one of the top 2 or 3 gun channels on YuTube, however the only value I find is the incredible high speed frame rate cameras that had to cost some serious money along with tons of editing makes for a great mini trailer to the next Expendables XXVII movie that I'm sure will be released straight to DVD in the not too distant future. Some neat things to watch, but nothing I would recommend or subscribe to necessarily. If I want to watch shit get shot or blown up, I'll watch Demolition Ranch or FPS Russia.
